Lost Nation Theater is investing in the Future.
We hope you'll join us!

2016 has been a remarkable year for LNT. The success of our shows and programs, like our block-buster season-opener Hairspray, have pointed out that the "infrastructure" LNT has been making work, need some major upgrades and improvments.

Some of these projects are already underway.
Some are brand-spankin' new.
LNT is investing in its home - Montpelier City Hall Auditorium Arts Center, a new Box Office Ticketing System (partnering with Patron Technology), Air Conditioning, and a new fresh and even more user friendly Website design (thanks to our pals at Eternity Web)

But we hope you will join us in making them happen and help us get them all completely funded.

Auditorium Improvement: Sound System and New Proscenium Curtain

Thanks to a grant from the Vermont Arts Council's Cultural Facilities Fund, we're about half-way there to paying for the historically-accurate (and fire-proof for life) Proscenium Curtain and the new sound system - and assisted listening system - already installed. The new sound system made our presentations of Hairspray and Bill Staines in Concert possible.

These improvements will make All events at City Hall Auditorium Arts Center - the gathering place of our community - that much better and accessible for all.  ($14,000 more is needed for this project)

Box Office/Date Management System

Anyone who had to endure the long line, or temporarily lost reservation, (and frantic staff or volunteer in the box office who were doing their best to muddle through) for the entirely sold-out run of Hairspray knows that the "free" multiple systems put together LNT has been using for years is simply no longer up to the task. The upfront cost has always been what's kept LNT for getting a full box office/data management ticketing system.  But, with a great deal from Patron Technology, which specializes in working with small non-profit theaters, the LNT Board is taking the leap and putting its faith in the community to help raise the funds needed to help serve you better. The new system should go live mid-November. It will be more reliable, faster and user-friendly, The theater's already put some of its resources towards the project, we need to raise $6000 more.

Air-Conditioning

Back in 1999, Carol Diamond led the way for LNT and the Auditroium Improvement Committee to install Air Conditioning in the Arts Center. She went out and raised the money and made it happen. (Of course central air was out-of the question). Well, it's time to re-invest. The old units need to be replaced - and the improvments made in energy efficiency have been tremendous. From 5 functional units in 1999, we're down to 2.  It's clear with a little help from our friends to raise the money, we'll all be a lot more comfortable at a franction of the energy. (New A/C project: $5000)

New Website Design

"The times they are a changing" and with our sponsor Eternity Web, LNT will be keeping up with the times. Mike Lannen of Eternity Web has been working closely with LNT staff to give a fresh look to the webpage - and make finding the information you want even easier and faster.  The good folks at Eternity Web donate their services to LNT, so nothing needed for this project but staff time and creativity! We hope, should you have website and digital marketing needs, you'll consider using Eternity Web!
