Open Auditions for The 2025 Season:

General:
- Prepare your choice of one full contemporary musical theater song and short monologue, or two contrasting songs (but no longer than 2 minutes total).
- Performing a monologue/song from the show is AOK.
- If you cannot make the audition in person, you are welcome to send an video audition no later than EOD date of open call.
Please complete the audition form for the show for which you are submitting. (Links to audition forms are included in each show's info packet)

2025 Production Staff

Available Staff Positions May Include:
Production Stage Manager/Stage Manager
Our Stage Managers Assist with all aspects of production, as well as properties and run crew. Assist with daily facility maintenance duties assigned. Will Serve as stage manager for between 1 and 3 mainstage productions and assist + work properties on the others. Experience with props and sewing a plus.
Lost Nation Theater is a small professional company with many positions being hybrid to work in many different aspects of the company. Rehearsal Schedule is 8 hours a day 6 days a week with the exception of tech week which will be more. In addition to mainstage performances LNT has special events and celebrations that stage management is involved in. The ideal candidate will be hard working, have an interest in props, eager to learn and work with many departments. Weekly stipend, housing provided. Non- Union. Costume Designer
LNT is currently fully staffed for Costume Designers in the 2025 Season.
Most LNT shows are a combination of pulling & tailoring; sourcing; and building.
Scenic Designers
LNT seeking hands-on scenic designers for several shows in the 2025 Season including Next to Normal.
Scenic designer is required to do their own painting. (Assistance available)
Designers are hired on a per project/production basis.
Available Intern Positions:
Costuming Intern
Interns work in supportive environment alongside professionals, assisting with all aspects of production Intern will assist Costume Designers with all aspects of costume design, construction, and wardrobe for 2 MainStage productions and 2-3 educational productions. Opportunity for lead design on Edu shows - including Frozen Jr. As time allows, Intern may also assist House Manager with various Front of House procedures such as box office, concessions, and overseeing volunteers. Intern will also assist with daily theater maintenance.
Mid-May through August 10; possibly through to Oct 22, 2022 for right candidate. Weekly stipend, housing provided.

Stage Management Intern
LOST NATION THEATER, an award winning small professional company, named one of the “best regional theaters in America” by the NY Drama League, is seeking a bright, energetic, self-motivated, and
ensemble-oriented artist with strong communication and organizational skills for its Assistant Stage Manager (ASM) Internship.
Interns work in supportive environment alongside professionals, assisting with all aspects of production ASM Intern will assist Production Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager with all aspects of production, as well as properties and run crew, for 2 MainStage productions. ASM Intern will also oversee and act as Stage Manager for up to 3 educational productions. Intern will also assist with daily theater maintenance. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Experience with properties, carpentry, lighting, sound, and sewing a plus.
Mid-May through August 15, possibly thru 10/20/25 for right candidate. Weekly stipend, housing provided. Enjoy urban sophistication with small town charm in Vermont‘s Capitol, one of the “best 100 small arts towns in the country”.

Costume Volunteers
Assist the variety of costume designers working on LNT's mainstage shows, including building/altering, organization, wardrobe/laundry, and possibly collaboration. Full Design opportunities may be available for Theater FOR Kids BY Kids productions. Contact Production Stage Manager.
