LNT is delighted to announce its Education and Production Programs for 2020
For Youth and Young Adults age 6-21!

We hope to announce additional workshops soon, but here are our one and two-week Camps and Intensives.

2020 is a Leap Year.
So let's Leap right into new opportunities for learning!

In Chronological Order...

1. Winter-Break Dance Theater Camp:  The Little Prince

February 24-28, 2020
Performances Feb 28 at 5:30pm & Feb 29 at 11am
No Audition Required
Age 9 & up

Study with noted choreographers and director Taryn Noelle and friends in this one-week, intermediate level, production camp
Quality, Investigative Experience in the Acting Process & Dance-Theater for curious & dedicated students.

Noelle will teach modern dance styles, physical improv, and theater games, with an emphasis on the shared skills and emotional availability required for theater & modern dance.
Contemporary dance requires you to bring the emotional life front & center. Come away with new dance moves, increased capacity for self- expression, and storytelling skills, while going from Page to Stage in just One Week, mounting an original dance-theater production of The Little Prince.

The Dance-Theater Production Camp is our more advanced Intermediate Level camp.

2. Summer Break Story-Telling Production Camp:  Fractured Fables

June 22–26, 2020
Performance  5:30pm June 26, 2020
No Audition Required
For ages 9–15

The focus is on applying new skills, investigating physical character work, improv, and ensemble-storytelling to an original fully staged show, gaining polish, pizazz, and pals.

This Camp is designed especially for returning students, but is welcoming and accessible to newer students.
Learn the protocols of theater. This camp offers a professional rehearsal process that emphasizes outrageous characterizations and ensemble storytelling. From page to stage in just one-week.
Led by LNT Guest Artists  - working theater pros from across the country.

3. Summer-Break Theater Camp: Theater Play For Every Day

July  13–17, 2020
Sharing Presentation for Friends and Family July 17
No Audition Required
for ages 6–9

Study with noted choreographers and director Taryn Noelle and friends in this one-week, half-day Intro Level Camp
Welcome to the world of theater and imagination.
Learn theater protocols and explore the physical, the vocal, and the character choices that are made through various forms of self-expression & creativity that make up theater, acting, dance.
Simple props and costume pieces are employed to further delve into imaginative play.

4. Two-Week Music-Theater Advanced Intensive:  Frozen Jr!

    Concentrations in Performance and Technical Design

July 27 – Aug 9, 2020
5 Performances over 3 days:  Aug 7, 8 & 9, 2020
Audition/Interview Required
Ages 10/13 - 21

Note LNT's Advanced Intensive Musicals are as fully produced and designed as our Mainstage shows!

If you have participated in LNT's Advanced Intensive previously, you do not have to audition/interview to become a member of the Ensemble, You can immediately register.
Otherwise general auditions/technical interviews for Ensemble acceptance are held in March and May. 
Call Backs for those accepted into the performance ensemble for specific roles in Frozen Jr will be held in June.


Performance Focus:

Work and study with triumvirate of experienced professional directors, musical directors and choreographers - including Taryn Noelle, to bring this magical musical to life on stage.
This intensive is LNT's most advanced and is for serious, experienced students and aspiring professionals.
Each year, the intensive strives to pose new challenges to participants; for Frozen Jr, in addition to the singing, dancing and acting challenges, puppetry will be incorporated.

Technical Focus:

Work under and study with experienced designers and technicians - exploring scenic, lighting, costumes, stage management and puppetry.
This intensive is LNT's most advanced and is for serious, experienced students and aspiring professionals.
Designers & Technicians include Robyn Osiecki (TD for Norwich University and LNT), Claiborne Coyle, Charlotte Seelg.
The work is hands on and theoretical. Participate in design decisions and execution for Frozen Jr. 
Participants also serve as run crew on the production.
