What's Lost Nation Theater Doing in August?
Oh So Much!

 

From Kids Camps, to New Works, and Special Events - like Weddings, it's been a Busy August - and we're not done yet!
We're sending the summer off in style!

 

In Reverse Order - here's what we're up to:

 

Sept 3 & 4- in a limited engagement - LNT Hosts Carole Vasta Folley & Friends in the playwright's newest work CONTROL TOP

 

End of August: LAURA GIST GETS HITCHED!

We are so happy to host the wedding of Former longtime and much-loved Production Stage Manager (and props magician) Laura Gist.
Laura met her love while working here at LNT, so we're tickled to be part of their official celebration and union. Officiated by JP Dona Bate - whom Laura also knows well thorugh LNT!

LNT happily provided a home for The Vermont Playwright's Circle's 19th Annual TENFEST!
The 2026 theme: Conversations at a Table.

LNT provided the incubator space for VPC to hatch many moons ago, so it was lovely to welcome them back.
Lots of familiar faces to LNT audiences were involved - as actors, directors, and winning playwrights - including Maggie York, Kim Ward, and winning playwrights Sarah DeBouter (Our Town) and Jim Thompson (Addams Family, Tempest, etc)

And August started with our THEATER PLAY FOR EVERYDAY half-day Intro Camp for ages 6-9.

Inspired by the Peter & Wendy and "Neverland" series of adventures in JM Barre's books, students led by Kathleen Keenan, Brandy Perez, Tristan Blumenthal, Kim Bent, Alex Garcia, and Jules Perez created an original dance-theater sharing presentation for friends and family.  It Was a BLAST!
Favorite Character? hard to say but the "clock-o-dile" is definitely in contention!

Here are the activites the students came up with that "Happy Pirates" would do:

Catch the Great Big Tuna
Paint the Ship Hot Pink and Black
Mine for the Hidden Treasure
Run from the Clock-o-Dile!
