TUCK EVERLASTING – THE MUSICAL!

‘You don't have to live forever, you just have to live.”

“Closing the gate on her oldest fears as she had closed the gate of her own fenced yard, she discovered the wings she'd always wished she had.”

– Natalie Babbit, Tuck Everlasting

Lost Nation Theater’s student performers find their wings in our Theater FOR Kids BY Kids production of TUCK EVERLASTING – The Musical, in a TYA Version that is fun for the whole family!
It all happens in LNT’s home within Montpelier City Hall Arts Center – with Three shows in Two days: 2 & 7pm, Saturday, March 1; and 11am, Sunday, March 2.

Based on the best-selling children’s classic by Natalie Babbitt, adapted for the stage by Claudia Shear and Tim Federle, and featuring a soaring score from Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen, Tuck Everlasting TYA crystalizes the Broadway production into 70-magical minutes – replete with favorite characters and songs.

If you could live forever – would you?

Eleven-year-old Winnie Foster yearns for a life of adventure beyond her white picket fence, but when she becomes unexpectedly entwined with the Tuck family she get more adventure than she could have possibly imagined. First, she finds incredible friendship with Jesse Tuck – and his family.

But when Winnie discovers the magical secret of the Tuck family (they are immortal!), she embarks on a quest to protect them - and their secret spring - from those who would exploit them. It changes her life forever.

Winnie faces an extraordinary choice: return to her life, or continue with the Tucks on their infinite journey.

Led by professional designers & directors from across the country, Tuck Everlasting TYA is the culminating project of our Winter Youth Dance Theater Intensive.

Noted artist & educator Taryn Noelle directs & choreographs.
Tim Guiles (The Prom) joins us as Musical Director.
Jessica Della Pepa (The Prom) designs costumes.
LNT founder Kim Bent handles the scenic design while Audrey Wubbena designs the lights.
Tara Hightower returns to stage manage – assisted by students Emily Cook and Jason Perez.

Tuck Everlasting is an oft-produced classic! A timeless story of family, loss, friendship, and love!

"I am so excited to work on this beautiful play - such a wonderful opportunity for movement, set to a vibrant, Celtic flavored score with motion, emotive opportunities and witty dialogue. This is also a fabulous Ensemble piece! The Ensemble is written to be in constant motion.”
- TARYN NOELLE

As director Taryn Noelle notes, Tuck Everlasting TYA  is an imaginative ensemble-oriented production allowing all its performers to shine.

Twelve rising stars, age 9-16 light up the LNT stage!
