 Celebrate “Halloween for Grown-Ups”  with Lost Nation Theater’s gleefully ghoulish Edgar Allan Poe Halloween!

From the fevered imagination of LNT’s dearly departed friend Tim “UnHoly Tavcar”, LNT’s resurrects its annual Edgar Allan Poe Halloween -a hauntingly good time – in his honor! The talented and inventive Tim Tavcar brought the idea of this fiendishly fun fundraiser to LNT in his first season – way back in 1997. It was an annual event for over 20 years!

 

It’s time to bring it back!

With inspiration from that Master of the Macabre and its own wizardry, LNT’s Edgar Allan Poe Halloween serves a feast of sensations guaranteed to tingle the spine, tantalize your tastebuds, and tickle the funny bone.

LNT’s Wizards of the Weird create a night to remember! Veteran Lost Nation Theater actor-singer-dancers, designers and shindig strategists all come together to bring you a frighteningly fun fundraiser for LNT, and a perfect party for the people!

There are petrifying performances of Poe’s “The Raven,” “Spirits of the Dead” “Tell Tale Heart” and still more! Plus works by Emily Dickinson (believe it!), HP Lovecraft, Ambrose Bierce and other honers of horror!

 

Kim Bent, AnnaMaria DiPietropaolo, Maura O’Brien, William Pelton, Mark Roberts and Stoph Scheer bring out the Spooky Kooky “Camp” (and interpretative dance) of these literary selections. Chase your boos away enjoying devilish delectables; and a ridiculously fun costume contest! All the while, Emcee Stoph Scheer and company keep you eerily entertained!

It’s all on Friday October 30, at Montpelier City Hall Arts Center.

Montpelier City Hall Arts Center is transformed into a gothic, candle-lit, hauntingly hip atmospheric chamber – inspired by the Victorian Era - to become the perfect spot. ­ It’s Halloween for Grown-ups, that the whole family can enjoy. (Some stories are scary – so keep that in mind!)

 

Come in costume and vie for prizes! Or participate as a voter - supporting for your favorite costume. Get “Goth,” get dressy, or come in your comfy clothes! You do you at LNT’s Edgar Allan Poe Halloween!

 

Curtain is 7pm. “Trick or Treat” before the show, and during intermission partake of the decadent desserts and Poe’tions, dare to mingle & be merry. And … in another magical, mystical act: Lost Nation Theater’s 2027 Season will be revealed!!!
