Meet Lost Nation Theater's New Staff Members

We are very lucky to have with us, since the middle of August, three new staff members, focusing primarily on production, joining LNT, ushering in the Fall season.

The primary focus is production, but we all know since Lost Nation Theater is a small professional theater everyone does a little bit of everything. We are delighted to have these three "Let's Make It Happen" pro's on our side now.

So let's meet Marisa Christie, Emily Cuerdon, and Stevie De.

Or In order of hiring (within a matter of three days) ... Stevie, Marisa, and Emily.

Founding Artistic Director Kim Bent has giddily dubbed them SME (pronounced "smee") - for Stage Managers Extraordinaire!

We've been having fun orienting and getting to know one another.

Stevie and Emily are from Vermont. Marisa from Long Island. So both Kim and Kathleen have home-state allies!!

Stevie, is in fact from Braintree VT, just a few miles down the road from where Kim grew up.
Emily from Putney, grew up on a dairy farm and bonded with Kim (who also grew up on a dairy farm) over their choice of Jersey cows being the best cows.

Meanwhile Kathleen and Marisa are talking beaches and parking lot shortcuts.

Here's a little more on the mighty SME...

MARISA CHRISTIE — STAGE MANAGER/ASM:

Marisa is super pumped to be making her Vermont and LNT debut on the wonderfully thought provoking Becoming Dr. Ruth. Most recently she worked on Manifesto: The Diaghilev Project (Script Supervisor), on tour with StarQuest (Company Manager), Lady Windermere’s Fan (ASM), and The Motherf*cker with the Hat (SM).  After Dr. Ruth, Marisa will serve as Asst .Stage Manager for LNT’s world premiere production of Disappearances.

EMILY CUERDON — PRODUCTION MANAGER/HOUSE MANAGER/ASM:

Emily is ecstatic to be returning to her Vermont roots with Lost Nation Theater after spending a year traveling the country working at regional theaters including American Repertory Theater (Warhol Capote), Moonbox Productions (39 Steps, Amadeus), Asolo Repertory Theatre (Gloria), Goodman Theatre (Father Comes Home from the Wars, Parts 1, 2, & 3). She is excited to share the amazing story of Dr. Ruth with the community, and to help bring a Vermont novel to life on stage with Disappearances.

STEVIE DE — PRODUCTION STAGE MANAGER/HOUSE ELECTRICIAN:

Stevie is happy to be continuing their work in the Vermont theater community at Lost Nation Theater. As PSM, they are Properties Master, ASM, and “jack of all trades” for Becoming Dr. Ruth, and lead Stage Manager for  Kim Bent’s Disappearances (from the novel by Howard Frank Mosher). They also help with executing the lighting designs. Most recently Stevie has been at Chandler Music Hall serving as Stage Manager for their summer musical White Christmas and as PSM for the 2018 VT Pride Festival.
