A truly remarkable experience in the theatre, I AM MY OWN WIFE is a must-see…” - NY Theatre
I Am My Own Wife closed "in style" to a full house and appreciative audience. We're grateful to all who came out and sorry if you missed it!
Meet Charlotte von Mahlsdorf: a real-life trans woman who managed to survive Nazi Germany and the East German Communist regime.
I Am My Own Wife won the 2004 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 2004 Tony Award for Best Play.
In the past few years, Stoph became one of the first openly trans and non-binary people to ever puppeteer in Hollywood.
Well known for playing multiple characters of different genders in numerous Lost Nation shows such as The Complete Works of William Shakespeare [Abridged], The Mystery of Irma Vep, and The Hound of the Baskervilles, Stoph returns to tackle this challenging and charming solo show, where they once again play numerous characters of all genders!
