LNT gets prep workshop underway for the teens cast in its upcoming production of Hairspray
You Can't Stop the Beat!
especially once it's started!
One of the reasons LNT is so excited for Hairspray is the incredible opportunity it gives to our students, and students from top programs around the region. (Some of these teens have been working & studying with us nearly half their lives!)
Another reason is to feature our amazing colleague & good friend, actor-dancer-singer-choreographer extraordinaire Taryn Noelle. LNT mounting Hairspray is the brainchild of Taryn and we're thrilled to have her as choreographer and playing Velma Von Tussle (definitely casting against type!)
In what seems like a cast of thousands, LNT is featuring 17 Vermont actors - 12 of them teens (or preteen) and we've just gotten underway with special prep workshops to buidl their skills, stamina, and give them the history of 1960's dance.
