Show Overview
It's A Book Launch Party!
Join us on Thursday, May 15 at 7pm for a celebration of two, hot-off-the-press Vermont books that have great meaning for Lost Nation Theater.
Judevine: A Love Song for a Place & Its People by VT poet and playwright David Budbill (1940-2016) in a new and revised edition of iconic poems and stories about an overlooked Northern Vermont town and its inhabitants. Judevine is a raucous and moving collection that resonates to this day with its enduring themes of rural poverty, injustice, and economic and social struggle.
LNT has mounted three productions of the stage adaptation of Judevine, all directed by LNT founder Kim Bent.
Piecework / Travail à la pièce by VT playwright and performer Abby Paige is a bilingual collection of her two plays.
This landmark publication of Paige's solo works and their French translations offers unique insight into the Franco American experience and the long, often-invisible history of the borderlands between francophone Canada and northern New England. LNT was proud to mount the world premiere of Abby's Les Filles Du Quoi?! in 2022 and Piece Work When We Were French early on in its history too.
Sponsored and hosted by Lost Nation Theater, this FREE event will feature theatrical readings and performances.
Join Nadine Budbill, Kim Bent, Abby Paige, and other beloved LNT Judevine actors Mark S. Roberts, Robert Nuner, and Ben Ash for an evening of poetry, place, conversation, and community!
Thursday, May 15 at 7pm in Lost Nation Theater Lobby Cabaret
