Late Breaking, Time Sensitive News from Lost Nation Theater
March 21, 2024

And the "Two. Two. Ten." Conundrum!

Two Weeks from Today,

Lost Nation Theater officially begins its 2024 Mainstage Season with Doug Wright's Tony and Pulitzer Prize Winning Play I AM MY OWN WIFE.
We are stoked beyond measure to be starting our 35th Anniversary Season with this tour-de-force show that reunites us with longtime friends and colleagues from all across the country.

Founder Kim Bent goes back with costume designer Cora Fauser nigh on 50 years!!
We've known stage manager Bill Pelton about 40 years now, director Joanne Greenberg for nearly 35; scenic designer Mark Evancho for about 30 years; actor Stoph Scheer and sound designer Eric Love for 15 years now, and to balance things out, our lighting designer Julia Grace Kelley about 3 months!

Now, after all these many months of planning, it hardly seems real that the time for I Am My Own Wife, and the season's official start, is drawing near!

Two DAYS from Today,

Lost Nation Theater was Supposed to actually kick off and celebrate our 35th Anniversary Season with the Maple Moon Cabaret!

BUT... Ten Inches or more of heavy wet snow is supposed to fall that very day!

The performers are traveling from all over the state to join us.
So Sadly, we've made the difficult decision to postpone the Maple Moon Cabaret.

How ironic that the worst snow storm of winter 2024 comes on the first weekend of Spring - and the day of our Cabaret! What are the odds?!?

Some of our Maple Moon Cabaret artists go back a very long time with LNT as well.  For instance Susan Reid - who grew up with Kim in the Randolph area. Or Like Ann Harvey who "the K's" met in grad school; and Mark Roberts, Kate Kenney, or Dan Bruce who been part of LNT for decades, or Taryn Noelle who's just starting on her 2nd decade!
We're also welcoming some new - and "newish" folk: board member & performer Kianna Bromley, Dave Ruffin (2 years), Jennifer Sassaman & Shanda Williams -since 2018, and all the students in Show Choir!

We're oh-so grateful to all the amazing artists who were coming out to perform this fundraiser in support of Lost Nation Theater!
And oh - so grateful to you for your patience, support and understanding.

We will of course honor any reservations for the 23rd  whenever the Maple Moon Cabaret takes place.
If you need assistance with rescheduling/refunds and have not yet heard from us, please email the box office, or call 802-229-0492.
