Available Staff Positions:

 

Stage Manager/Assistant Stage Manager

Our Stage Managers Assist with all aspects of production, as well as properties and run crew. Assist with daily facility maintenance duties assigned. Will Serve as stage manager for between 1 and 3 mainstage productions and assist + work properties on the others. Experience with props and sewing a plus.

Lost Nation Theater is a small professional company with many positions being hybrid to work in many different aspects of the company. Schedule is 8 hours a day 6 days a week with the exception of tech week which will be more. In addition to mainstage performances LNT has many special events and holiday celebrations that stage management is heavily involved in.

The ideal candidate will be hard working, have an interest in props, eager to learn and work with many departments.

Master Carpenter/Facilities Manager 

Lost Nation Theater: a small professional company in the heart of Vermont seeks an energetic, self starting, and enthusiastic Master Carpenter to join us for our upcoming season. We are a small professional company with a small but mighty team putting together each performance.

The Master Carpenter is responsible for executing designs within the budgetary constraints of the show, supervise and train crew & volunteer help, maintenance and organization of the scene shop, and supervising build & strike of all performances. In addition to show requirements the Master Carpenter is responsible for: maintaining equipment and facilities to OSHA and LNT safety standards and coordinating with artistic directors about special projects (repairing Aframe signs, assisting with organizational elements around the theater). Lost Nation theater embodies that we all succeed when we work together.

Available Intern Positions:

Costuming Intern (Mid-May through August)

Assist the Costume Designers on two mainstage shows, serve as run crew/quick change and wardrobe person (laundry, repairs etc). Design opportunities include the fully produced two-week youth theater musical, and offer costuming help to other youth camps' sharing presentations and the one-week "Fractured Fables" production. 
Housing is provided (within walking distance if necessary) with weekly stipend.

Stage management Intern  (Mid-May through August)

Assist stage management team with all aspects, theater cleaning & maintenance, serve as run crew in variety of positions as needed. Assist Company as needed (may include Front of House or even marketing work such as hanging posters around town). Opportunity to serve as lead stage manage educational programs/youth camps.

Production Stage Manager  - This position has just been filled

The PSM is responsible for organization of all pre-production communication, paperwork, rehearsals, props and performances for up to 5 main stage productions (sometimes including AEA special appearance contracts). Oversees ASMs, run crew, and volunteers. Assists with running daily theater maintenance. Experience with electrics, properties, carpentry and sewing a plus. Early February – October with extension likely.

Lost Nation Theater is a small professional company with many positions being hybrid to assist in many areas of the company. Schedule is 8-10 hours a day 6 days a week with the exception of tech week which will be more. Stage Managers run lights and sounds for all performances.

The ideal candidate will be hard working, can juggle many projects at a time, is forward thinking, and is passionate about finding creative solutions.

Visual Artist Volunteer

Lost Nation Theater is looking for a visual artist/illustrator to work on advertising artwork for their 2018 season. We have some amazing things to offer in return: master classes, season tickets, gallery space for exhibitions etc. Please Email digital samples of your work.

Costume Volunteers

Assist the variety of costume designers working on LNT's mainstage shows, including building/altering, organization, wardrobe/laundry, and possibly collaboration. Full Design opportunities may be available for Theater FOR Kids BY Kids productions. Contact Production Stage Manager.
