On Dark Nights Special Events at Lost Nation Theater in July

June 27, 2017

Three "One Night Only" Special Events - with Comedy, Music, and Storytelling Come to Lost Nation Theater in July

Since its inception Lost Nation Theater has been dedicated to showcasing other members of the performing arts community,
That commitment has seen many forms over the years -  The New Works Showcase, Musical Tuesdays, WinterFest, Vermont Performers Showcase, February Frolics, are all examples.
In our 2015/2016 season, we combined all our special programs presenting other artists & genres under our new "ON DARK NIGHTS" special event series.
This way it doesn't matter when the event happens, or if it's a new work, a musical event,  a dance, created by Vermont artists; when something is ready to happen it can! (It no longer has to fit into a prescribed time or type.)
"On Dark Nights" is not just an evocative title - it's an homage to theatre parlance. In the industry, if you don't have a performance that day/night, you are "dark" (no lights on.)  So "on dark nights" we have the space available to help shine a light on other artists and projects.

We have 3 events in July!

Tuesday, July 11, 7:30pm
LNT Lobby Cabaret
(by donation.)

Funnyman Peter Gould (an acclaimed writer, performer, theater artist, clown, and inspired teacher) reads from his new novel - and shares some anecdotes not necessarily in the book.
The event is co-sponsored by Red Hen Baking - who are providing tasty treats; with additional support from Bear Pond Books - on hand to sell you an (autographed) copy of Peter's book.
All donations that night will go to support LNT's signature ticket subsidy program "David's Tickets" (in honor of David Budbill) Read more about David's Tickets here.

Vermont audiences know Levi for his critically-acclaimed work in Lost Nation Theater's 2016 production of RED.  The Cheep Show has performed at NYC's Broadway Comedy Club, QED Astoria, and The Tank Theater, among others.
