Show Overview
Join the Process
Maura O'Brien performs a staged reading of a new play, written just for her, by Jeanne Beckwith - a solo show where she brings to life the legendary Annie Oakley.
Lost Nation Theater has spent the pandemic helping to develop new work. One piece commissioned is this new play for LNT fav Maura O'Brien.
After several meetings, we honed in on Annie - an outspoken, ridiculously talented, before her time woman, who found success on the 'stage' and who, despite her fame, most people don't really know about.
She is the epitome of surviving and thriving and her story is fascinating.
For this special event, we hope that you will be part of this final step of the developmental process as we plan to produce the show as part of our 2022 Mainstage Season.
The reading will last approximately 90 minutes, and will be followed by a discussion session. Ask the playwright a question, answer the playwrights' questions, give your feedback to playwright, actor, and artistic directors.
