THANK YOU! to the residents of Montpelier!! You VOTED YES! to support LNT’s first-ever ballot request!

Voters approved $3,500 to support our youth programs, which will greatly enhance our ability to meet the increasing demand for our services and programs. After our recent youth theater Snow White, another Theater BY kids FOR kids production happens this summer, with lots of education programs, workshops and labs in between. (See Scenes for Teens below). Thank You again! Your support means more than we can say!

2010 Season Underway: David Budbill’s A Song for My Father is cast & rehearsals begin

LNT kicks off its 2010 season with the Premier of Vermont poet & playwright David Budbill’s newest theater work A Song for My Father.
We are thrilled to announce that the show is being directed by Andrew Doe, and that the four-person ensemble features John D Alexander, Bob Nuner, Ruth Wallman and Tara Lee Downs. The  design team includes visual artist Donna Stafford (scenic); Jeffrey Salzberg (lighting); Cora Fauser (costumes) and Andrew Vachon (sound & projections). Emily Crosby is the Stage Manager. 

A Song for My Father is a touching jazz-inspired work playing with memory and humor as a son facing the long-distance challenges of caring for his dad, also hopes to bridge the personal distance between them before time runs out. Andy and David will continue to fine-tune the script (with input from the actors) through early March and intensive rehearsals begin March 30. The show premiers April 22 – and tickets are on-sale now!

Audition Season!

Lost Nation Theater will be in Colchester, VT  at the VATTA statewide Auditions and technical interviews on March 6; and in Boston MA, March 12-15 for the NETC Regional auditions and interviews.

Scenes for Teens – new dates

 Scenes for Teens - an intensive scene-study class led by Tara Lee Downs has been rescheduled.  New Dates are Wednesdays, April 28, May 5, 12 and 19.
