2018 is Lost Nation Theater’s 30th Season at Montpelier City Hall. Its kick-off is Friday March 23rd with a resplendent & retrospective Cabaret!

“Here’s to 30 More!” – Kate Kenney, Ashley Nease, Liz Gilbert and Michael Bresette on LNT’s 30th Season Celebration.

That seems to be the theme of messages from artists and students who’ve worked with Lost Nation Theater at Montpelier City Hall Arts Center over the last 30 years.

Over a dozen Lost Nation Theater fan favorite performers, directors, and staff will be coming together to celebrate the company’s longevity and to kick off its 30th season at City Hall in style on Friday, March 23.

That dapper and verbal virtuoso Emcee G. Richard Ames, with accomplished accompanist Dan Bruce on piano, guide you through an evening that will let us re-live those “best of” moments from shows starting with our first year at City Hall (1989) all the way through last season! We’re having a blast with the past 29 Seasons to gear up for number 30!  Songs, scenes, monologues and moments interspersed with spectacular (and short!) speeches from those who work “behind the scenes,” tasty treats and a cash bar make for a festive evening of fun.

Joining us for the two-set evening will be Katherine Paterson, Aaron Aubrey, Ben Ash, Dona Bate, Kim Bent, Kathleen Keenan, Warren Kitzmiller, Amanda Menard, Maura O’Brien, William Pelton, Scott Renzoni, Mark Roberts, Kris Weir, Christopher Scheer and George Woodard

Highlighted shows include Gunslinger (LNT first show at City Hall), Always Patsy Cline, Side by Side by Sondheim, STONE, Into the Woods, Judevine, and Woody Guthrie’s American Song. Several artists who couldn’t make it in from out of town will also be beamed in via video! Hear from Gus Kaikkonen (Richard III), Kate Kenney (Eurydice), Ashley Nease (Judevine), Eric Love (39 Steps), Meredith Watson (Mockingbird, Crucible, Blues in the Night) Ellen Jones (designer of Sweeney Todd, Blues in the Night, Dancing at Lughnasa, and many more) and former students/performers Seth Chalmer, Mike Bresette and Liz Gilbert.

Come be part of this celebration. Enjoy a great show, libations, and the chance to talk with some of your favorite performers, directors, and designers. And find out what Lost Nation Theater has planned for its 30th Season at Montpelier City Hall – and beyond!

Suggested donation for the evening is $25. Help Lost Nation Theater start its new season – and a new decade in style! Join Us! Friday, March 23 at 7:30pm.
